 Choose from two screen resolutions! - 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 pixels.

When you start Tele-Prompt, you will offered the option of running it in a choice of two fixed screen sizes. These allow you to run the software comfortably on computer screen resolutions of either 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 pixels. At either of these resolutions it will neatly fill the screen area, leaving just sufficient room for you to access the Windows Taskbar. There is also a useful window “roll up” facility that allows to access your desktop. And, by having fixed screen sizes, rather than simply “maximising” the program window, the entire Tele-Prompt interface can also be moved completely off your desktop if required.

Running Tele-Prompt at either of these screen resolutions will ensure you have no distracting desktop area behind the display window and it will therefore more closely resemble the screen of a conventional hardware teleprompter.

The two versions feature a slightly different control panel layout and the 800 x 600 pixels one is shown above. The larger 1024 x 768 version, which has a more spacious control panel can be seen HERE. Once you have chosen your preferred settings for background screen colour, font size and colour and scroll speed etc. these are automatically saved in readiness for your next session.

 The Prompter

• Variable scrolling speed using control panel slider, numeric display or standard Windows scroll bar on the right of the display.
• Pause and continue scrolling (and recording when synchronised) via keyboard shortcuts
• Adjust scroll speed whilst scrolling
• Adjust both font size and background colour whilst scrolling.
• Start scrolling from the Cursor point anywhere within the text.

 The Recorder

• Records to hifi audio quality in WAV format.
• Four audio recording qualities: DAT, CD audio, FM Radio and AM Tuner.
• Select audio input device - accommodates the latest high quality USB microphones and sound cards.
• Recording can be synchronised to the scrolling text - pressing “Record” “Pause” and “Stop” also simultaneously controls the scrolling text.
• Microphone input level meter - adjust for optimum recording quality.
• LED style display to indicate recording status
• Recording Timer - indicates elapsed recording time
• Preview audio recording.
• Save audio file in maximum quality WAV format for later post production.

Tele-Prompt Pro will be launched soon and, in response to many requests, will include additional features such as reversed or true “mirror” text, improved text handling and twin monitor facility
