Keyboard Control For added flexibility and ease of use, particularly when using Tele-Prompt on a laptop for example, that is situated some distance away from the talent, you can control your scrolling text by simply pressing certain keys on the keyboard
Esc will stop or “pause” the script F1 will drop the speed back one "notch" at a time F2 will increase the scroll speed one "notch" at a time Please note you have to place the curser somewhere inside the scrolling text area - it does not matter where - for these keyboard controls to work.
With your normal scroll speed established at say “60” on the sliding scale, if some minutes into the script you find your text scrolling a little too quickly, you can fine tune that by gently pressing the F1 key.
If you want to slow down slightly more, just press the key again and again until you are happy with the new speed. The scroll speed scale is very sensitive and allows for very fine tuning of the scrolling speed of the text. The same applies of course if you need to increase the speed very slightly; just press the F2 key in this case
