The next step is to choose the audio quality of your recording. We have provided a range of industry standard settings that work well in most situations. However, unless you have a good reasons for not doing so, I suggest that you always choose a high quality recording mode such as CD quality, since it is better to make a high quality original WAV file and resample that down to say mp3, rather than compromise your audio quality at the actual recording stage.

Choose your recording quality - from DAT, CD audio, FM radio or AM tuner

With these two settings complete it’s time to choose a location for your recording. Click the “File” drop down button and select a suitable file name and location on your computer system as shown below. The default is “test.wav”

As I mentioned earlier, one of Tele-Prompt’s really neat features is its ability to synchronise the scrolling text to the recorder. You can enable this feature by checking the “Prompt/Audio Sync” as shown below. Now you only have to scroll your text to the appropriate starting point and hit the “Record” button!

This will instantly activate the teleprompter and start the Recorder. You can adjust the scrolling speed using the keyboard F1 and F2 keys - actually whilst the text is scrolling - to fit the pace of your script. If you need to hit “Pause” at any time, both scrolling and recording will pause at exactly the same moment. And when you are ready to continue, just click “Resume” or the Esc key on your keyboard and the recording and scrolling will continue as before.

Check the box to enable Tele-Prompt’s synchronised scrolling and audio recording
