Biz Video Solutions is a video production company based near Washington DC, but has clients from all over the USA. Most of our business involves working with corporate clients, either producing informational videos or filming seminars and conferences. And often during a conference for example, the client will ask us to film promos during the lunch and dinner breaks; which means we have to work quickly.
Most of the "talent" we film are not professional actors, but the heads of corporations. And understandably, they do not always feel comfortable in front of the camera. But even if they are, they certainly are not used to memorizing their lines no matter how big or small the script!
Therefore, ProSoft Digital's "Tele-Prompt" was the perfect solution for us; ensuring we are able to keep things moving quickly and efficiently. We tried another software teleprompter first, from an unknown source on the internet, only to have our computer crash badly within 24 hours. But we've now been using Tele-Prompt for over a year and are very happy with the results; as too are our clients.
We also considered buying a conventional hardware teleprompter. However, we travel extensively and often need to move quickly from one room to the next and quickly set up and breakdown our equipment. As a purely computerised teleprompter, Tele-Prompt was therefore the perfect solution. It's affordable, easy to install, there's nothing extra to ship and has a really quick learning curve. And when the camera is set up properly with our laptop, you cannot tell that the script is being read at all!
And finally, what a joy it is to see the relief on the corporate heads’ faces when they realise that they can just read their presentation rather than speaking their script from memory!
